For main courses, we had Wiener Schnitzel and the Wurst Platter - wow! Seriously, get for two people and you will not only love the meal but will also have leftovers for lunch the next day. Wonderful in every way possible.

We had a wonderful meal at "Spargel on 9" this week. The food, atmosphere and service were fantastic. This was my second visit to this restaurant, since I don't live in the area (traveled from Evansville Indiana) and was here only for a short visit with my sister and brother-in-law. If you are looking for truly authentic German cuisine, this is the restaurant for you. This restaurant serves the most authentic German food I have had anywhere in the USA since my husband and I moved back to the USA in 1981 from our tour of duty in Furth and Schwabach West Germany. This time I chose the Frankische Brotzeit for my appetizer and the Algauer Kase Spatzle mit Speck and Gemischter (house) salad for my entree. Both were delicious with very generous portions (leftovers went home to be enjoyed a second time). 😋 My sister and brother-in-law had Baked Asparagus, Spargelcremesuppe, Braised Lamb Shank and Gegrilltes Lachssteak and they enjoyed the meal as much as I did. 😋 Many thanks to the Chef and staff for a wonderful experience. Can wait for my next visit to NY and dinner at Spargel on 9.

These homemade brats were delicious and so favorable. Served with homefries made from sliced potatoes and sauerkraut. All with wonderful flavors that you could enhance with mustard and horseradish. Some places it is just an onion taste, these each held their own. Paired with Paulaner pilsner. Lots of food, come with an appetite..

Outstanding - large, warm pretzel with plenty of tasty cheese dip. We paired it with a Caesar salad and had them as a shared appetizer.

Oh, oh so good. Tender beef in a rich sauce with delicious spätzle and red cabbage. Mom was from Linz, Austria, so I grew up on Bavarian food. Mom was a wonderful cook but oh my word this was great. We travel 1-1/2 hours for their food.
