Muscheln Im Weisswein Sud
This dish can easily be shared between two people since the portion was very large for an appetizer. The Muscheln were so tasty and the broth had a great balance of white wine and stock vegetables. Highly recommended.
Wiener Schnitzel
The food was excellent and very authentic. Service was great and prices were reasonable. I love this restaurant, but wish it were closer to where I live in Schenectady.

Wiener Schnitzel
For starters we had the potato pancakes. They were delicious!, Main course was the Weiner Schnitzel with red cabbage and spaetzel. Everything was excellent! The spaetzel is the best I have had outside of Germany. If you enjoy German food, this is the place to go!
Algäuer Käse Spätzle MIT Speck
Delicious! We split it as a starter (4 adults & 1 preteen ) and it was a hit with everyone. Spaetzel as my grandmother made it with the addition of the perfectly sliced, thin, crunchy onion topping.
Erlanger Sauerbraten
Out of this world. We love this restaurant. The staff is very kind and accommodating. Wonderful food. Don't miss this one. [?]

Growing up in a predominantly German resort area in the Catskills, I tend to be very critical of Bavarian restaurants. I was extremely happy to be surprised by the authentic cuisine offered at Spargel on 9. The tastes and smells transported me back to my childhood of annoying the chef at my family's resort. I never thought that I would taste Hungarian Goulash like he made, but I think Chef Christian's version rivaled his. Our server Mitchell, who was the bartender as well, made our meal feel like a family dinner with his banter, humor and acceptance of my skepticism of their German food. I have never been so happy to be wrong - the food and service was amazing! My only criticism would be that the decor is lacking that German feel. Maybe some steins, cuckoo clocks or Bavarian items. But that is just my 2 cents. All in all, Spargel on 9 is a must if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and make sure you order the Black Forest cake for dessert!
Erlanger Sauerbraten
Super tender beef, potato dumpling and delicious red cabbage made for an excellent meal. Coming from a German/ Polish family, I recognize authentic cuisine and this was the real deal. We were fortunate to be at the restaurant during the white asparagus season and that appetizer was amazing! Looking forward to our next visit!
Cordon Bleu
We come up to the Lake George area every summer and our former regular German place closed. We found Spargel on Nine and we were blown away. Huge portions of chicken cordon bleu, amazing spaetzel, sauerkraut, red cabbage. Potato pancakes may have been the best we've ever had, and the Hungarian goulash soup was world class great. Oh, and pretzels with beer cheese! Our server Richard was great as well, fast and attentive. I can't say enough great things about our dining experience here.
